Die Geschichte handelt von Issei Hyoudou, einem perversen Highschool Schüler, der von Mädchen verabscheut wird. Nachdem ein Mädchen Namens Yuuma Interesse an ihm zeigt, wird er von ihr getötet, da sie sich als gefallener Engel entpuppt. Er wird jedoch von einer Rothaarigen Schönheit Namens Rias Gremory gerettet und als Dämon neu geboren. Seit diesem Tag dient er ihr und ist einer ihrer Schachfiguren.
